Our artistic plan aims at spreading, promoting and making known as much as possible our artistic production, our cultural traditions, the literary production and the musical literature of popular origin (often handed down only from an oral point of view), at the recovery and the exploitation of the so-called territorial cultures, also out from our national territory, with particular reference to the cultural "contamination" and "penetration" followed to the various meetings of the Sicilian popular culture with the cultures of those populations that, for different reasons,  passed by or settled in the island.

The Sicilian popular song, synthesis of the crucible of Mediterranean cultures, in the centuries has allowed to develop an extraordinary and variegated range of sonorous possibilities.

Today, these ones are expressed through musical “re-proposals”, representing the precious commitment in order to make the tradition live, a tradition which constantly renews itself, developing the most evolved thematic models, according to the paths of  the so-called “re-elaboration”.

The musical choral theatrical show entitled Cantastorie, musici, commedianti e menestrelli tra favole, satira e frottole (Story tellers, musicians, actors et mistrels among fables, satire et nonsense), where the company La Giostra is the protagonist, is inserted in a program of recovery of the most authentic image of Sicily land, an image that avoids the (sclerotic) odd iconographies in order to express the tradition which changes and renews itself, also keeping the coherence in style and aesthetics.
